Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a fly on the wall? To slip unnoticed into the home or life of someone else? To see their daily highs and lows, triumphs and successes. To walk beside them as they wade through monotony and routines.
Have you ever wished you took a minute, or two, or ten to just soak up the moments in your day to day life. Not the spectacular ones but the consistent day to day ones that actually make up your life. Those moments that pass you by. Age your children and slip from your memory as nothing special. Nothing remarkable.
This month I have been asked to join as special group of girls who I met while doing the Clever Cookie School of Blog in a photography Circle. The idea was initiated by the ever talented and super lovely, pro photographer Rowe Timson. I love photography and wanting to soak up more of the day to day moments in my life I jumped at the chance. They are a great bunch of girls with some awesome camera skills.
A photography circle works by each of us taking 10 on 10. This could be 10 favourite photos from a day or a month, or photos taken on the 10th day of the month. It is totally flexible which makes our group a little more footloose and fancy free – just the way i like it.
This month I chose to just pick up my Canon and start shooting when the clock struck 10. Regardless of where I was, what I was wearing and what my surrounds looked like. No prepping. No styling. No tweaking the lights, tidying the house or changing the kids. This is 10 minutes of my life in all it’s glory. It is plain and ordinary, simple and truthful. Honest.
At the end of the post I will link you to the next blogger in the circle. Make sure to head over and have a sneak peek at their life and share the love around.
